Web Development over Web Designing

Today while working on a Page , I ran into this thought of how many people misunderstand with the word between Desining and Developing
People often take Designing to be same as Development .. but this is really odd .. Let me just point out some major differences we find when working on in


WEB DESIGNING:
This part is what you see , its all about
a)Look and Feel:
This area takes into picture all the visual aspects of the website. It when you say www.bidn.com, you see how it looks like , the colors on the top of the screen and the
different shapes and size of stuffs on bidn


b) Content
Well as the name itself , this contains all the text which one put on the site which involves  ideas and description about ones company or just plain article


WEB DEVELOPMENT:
a) Functionality
Functionality includes all of the interactive aspects of a web site and includes animation.It also deals with backend stuffs such as Databases to retrieve data from the the same .


b) Usability


Usability is the website viewed from the user’s point of view and involves mostly testing things like:

• Does the look and feel are actually portraying the proper image?
• Is the navigation is user friendly?
• Does the navigation lead the visitor to where the owner wants them to go?
• Does the site load quickly?
• Do the applications work properly?

So its not only about building things ,its about building them and making them work !!!
